ICC purchases Colombian cannabis strains
The Canadian cannabis company ICC International is growing rapidly and is already competing for major players like Wayland and Aurora. With Wayland, the company even wants to bring cannabis products to Europe (Leafly.de reported). According to the media, ICC International has now partnered with AgraFlora to bring Colombian cannabis varieties to the global marketplace.

"This partnership gives us the opportunity to offer the coveted Colombian cannabis blossom in its global distribution network of approximately 39,000 pharmacies and retail stores. The transfer of these unique varieties will also allow us to further differentiate our brand in an increasingly generic and homogenized market, "said Eugene Beukman, ICC's Chief Executive Officer and Director.

Further development of cannabis strains

AgraFlora founded the subsidiary Pure Grow Medicinals in Colombia just last year to further develop the cultivation and genetics of cannabis. Since then, Pure Grow has been working with a Cannabis Cup winner, according to the report. Its cannabis strain "Medellin Gold" has already received an award from the industry. In addition, Pure Grow has acquired a collection of exotic and rare cannabis seeds from various Colombian regions such as Valle del Cauca, Cauca, Antioquia and Magdalena.

ICC International receives 20 cannabis varieties

Pure Grow is now transferring 20 unique THC and CBD cannabis varieties to ICC International under the agreement. These include cannabis varieties such as Caucana, Purpura, Medellin Gold and Maroc.

"Pure Grow has put together a unique genetic library of native cannabis from Colombia. From this we believe that it will become a valuable asset for our company. To maximize the value of our genetics portfolio, we rely on our new partnership with ICC International. This company has built up a comprehensive infrastructure along the entire value chain of the international cannabis market. Its extensive international presence consists of distribution networks and a variety of multi-jurisdictional licenses that will support the introduction of our genetics library, "said Derek Ivany, President and CEO of AgraFlora.

AgraFlora retains the rights to the Gene Library for its own use in North America. On the other hand, ICC International receives worldwide exclusive rights. For the transfer of the genetics library, ICC will transfer one million ordinary shares to AgraFlora
