WLT in play

looks like the summer doldrums just got a jolt thanks to our old pal Audley Capital.  CItigroup initiates WLT coverage with a buy and $144 target, BMO upgrades WLT to 'outperform' and Audley quotes EBITDA stock valuation of 240$ in pr.  Could be an interesting second half.  Some substance to that earlier rumour JB.  GLTA.

"Our old pal" indeed. What kind of philosophy is this that they seemingly go around "bugging" boards of directors encouraging them to sell their companies? Admittedly, I've made some fat dollars off of WTN because of this...but it makes you wonder...

DrZeke, I agree that things are going to change as Walter has the location, coal and shipping facilities.Keith Calder leaving WLT has now become a little clearer (missing puzzle pieces) to be confirmed at a latter date.A 2nd unknown bidder for WTN may now be back in the hunt.WLT was for sale before WTN and again may have a for sale sign posted.Anglo American changing the sale for Peace River Coal  ...more
