Acquisition?
Acquisition? This subject has come up in the past, and at the time it seemed I was the only dissenter. A lone wolf so to speak. I am totally against any acquisitions at this point. Acqisitions that seem to be accretive in preliminary analysis often turn out to be not so as a result of problems with integration and unforseen M&A costs. I don't know why most are all for it when nine times out of ten the acquirer's stocks drops on the news, as the company acquires a new distraction, as well as the concurrent dilution. Xebec is more than adequately positioned to grow exponentially organically. How can an acquisition be accretive anyway, when Xebec will no doubt be forced to pay a handsome premium? If it is accretive, it will only be so "down the road."
This company has very good management, but I am 100% against an acquisition, unless it is a defensive maneuver to ward off being acquired themselves, which is becoming an increasingly plausible scenario. Has anyone figured out what Kurt would walk with if someone came along and offered $1.50 a share? Do the math, and put yourself in his shoes.
