Economic mission to Mexico

Economic mission to MexicoOrganized by the Quebec Ministre de l’conomie, de la Science et de l’Innovation, Antonio Saavedra, Director, Sales and Business Development, has been invited to join the mission and meet with local companies interested in pursuing renewable energy projects. Antonio will promote Xebec biogas upgrading solutions that can transition from power generation to renewable natural gas/biomethane production as an alternative fuel in the Mexican market.

In Mexico, the installed power generation capacity from biomass is 646 MW. Veracruz is the state with the highest installed capacity of 264 MW, as well as Jalisco, Tabasco and San Luis Potosi with 83.32, 41.7 and 40.7 MW, respectively. The state of Quintana Roo has a great interest in developing biomass projects because of the problem of sagassum seaweed on its coasts.
