RE:Ottawa’s long-term plan to increase hydrogen
RE:Ottawa’s long-term plan to increase hydrogenIn all this Qubec government and businesses are certainly aligning their duck to fully embrace this new energy transition - not unlike how it did in the 1950s with the nationalisation (not to be expected for Hydrogen though) of hydro-power, under Hydro Quebec. Today HQ is capitalizing on its huge green hydro-electricity production capacity to enter the hydrogen production arena, while working alongside Quebec - based private sector (i.e Enerkem). With Sophie Brochu at the helm of HQ, and formerly of Energir, you can be sure that Xebec will also come to benefit - through its RNG and Hydrogen verticals. As seen with Quebec's long term hydro-energy strategy, these take time to put in place but once in full swing the oligopoly of actors are bound to benefit - in Quebec's case both for themselves and the broader society, due to a legislated level playing field put in place, but which doesn't preclude the private sector to reap much higher benefits outside Quebec. In short, XBC couldn't be at a better place at a better time, in large part, thanks to Kurt's foresight.
