2,000 m3 of oxygen per hour against COVID

An order for 48 oxygen generators is about to be sent out. The generators are used in numerous hospitals in inaccessible regions in northern India to fight COVID.

India is the country with the second highest number of corona cases worldwide. So far, over 11 million people have been infected. To curb the spread, tough measures were adopted, including entry bans and curfews. There was a lack of oxygen to treat patients in several regions despite a quadrupling of oxygen production between March and September 2020. To support the oxygen supply in the states of Kashmir and Jammu 48 oxygen generators were ordered.

These remote regions in the Himalayas generally have poor infrastructure and are sometimes cut off from the outside world for a few months of the year. The generators will be distributed in numerous government hospitals in cities such as Anantnag, Ganderbal, Kupwara and Srinagar, and produce between 26 and 54 m3 of oxygen per hour, depending on the model. The generators are used in hospitals to ventilate COVID patients. In addition, the oxygen produced on site will also be used in operations in the future.
