RE:Why has Xebec been crushed?We don't know when the shorter's started their position but perhaps they were thinking XBC was going to do a financing that would depress the share price? 

Well IMHO a financing is unlikely at this level and there is no immediate need. TTs post on that is below.

I find it astounding that the short position went up about 960K shares in the first 2 weeks of Feb. Or are they betting on a Q4 miss although it was affirmed recently? Lastly do people find it odd how many times the shares have been gapping down (like today) when the markets are flat or open up? Usually stocks gap down on an event such as bad news or a large down day in the markets, it's sign of mild panic when you hit the bid to get out.

GRN has about as many shares o/s as XBC. GRN has under 500K shares shorted whereas XBC has on the TSX alone 5.6M shares shorted. Is XBC fundamentally that worse off than GRN that's its valuation based on BV, P/S deseves to be so much more heavily discounted?
