It may seem quiet, but things are happening behind the scene
While everyone is focusing on the upcoming quarterlies, it seems to me that little attention or acknowledgment is being given to the fact that Xebec has been without a COO since Prabhu's abrupt ouster on February 12th.
Kurt has previously mentioned that the selection process "is down to the short strokes". He has said, "by June".
There is no doubt this news, when it comes, will have an impact.
It is difficult to gauge what the extent of that impact might be, given that the market has no idea who it will be named new the new chief operating officer.
It seems to me that the longer this "process" takes to complete, the more likely the winning candidate will be someone promoted from within.
Xebec has an extensive pool of talent. No doubt several amongst them are deserving of a milestone in their career. Loyal, qualified employees who have been there for decades count in the dozens.
I can't think of a possibly more moral -boosting, incentivizing, mutually compatible, team-building, and symbiotic announcement that Xebec could make in concluding this chapter in the selection process.
It would also make a lot of sense.
