Don't know how many times

I don't know how many times I've said this, but for relative newcomers, "Don't pay any attention to analyst's targets, certainly not Aaron at TD."

Again, apologies to the stalwarts who have been here a while, but some readers might not know Aaron's history following Xebec.

Case in point, and very briefly, TD initiated coverage on Xebec on October 1st, 2020.
The stock was $4.18 and Aaron produced a report classifying Xebec as high risk, and with a strong buy and a one-year target of $6.50.
Xebec traded at $6.78 a couple of months later on December 4th.

Here's the title of his original report:

                  Xebec Adsorption Inc. (XBC-V) C$4.18
Profitable Today, Powering Tomorrow; Initiating at BUY

On December 31st, 3 months after the original report, Xebec closed at $9.00 and Aaron issued a new report, raising his one-year target to $12.50.

Exactly two weeks later Xebec closed at $11.00, and on January 14th Aaron raised his target yet again to $17.50.
He raised his target to $17.50 two trading days before Xebec hit it's all-time high at $11.55.

So, very basically, this analyst raised his one-year target from $6.50 to $17.50 in three and a half months.

I've known many many analysts, and most of them are good guys and fun to have drinks with, but many of them don't have a clue about the markets.
They're pencil-pushers who make a half-million but who have never been on the front line.
They get out of University with an MBA and they think they're God's gift and know it all, when in fact they know squat.
They have no idea what the market can do to stocks it loves or hates.

So his target is $3.00 now?
He hates Xebec.
It's embarrassed him and brought on heat at work.

His target is $3?

I say "so what?"

But have you seen Cannacord Genuity? Halving their price target to $2,25 or something like that. Spurious reasoning throughout,

The market itself is the only analyst worth listening to, and the market spoke volumes today. Personally I'd give it a couple of trading days till the dust starts to settle,  but I see this stock going much higher. The market will enjoy additional momentum and endurance in anticipation of the upcoming investor's day. It's not far off. This market will put some shorts offside ...more

Totaly agree with you TT, and one of those tentacles is yet to be exploited....their agreement for the exclusive distribution of their Pressure Swing Adsorption (“PSA”) technology to Air Liquide.   Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no contribution from this agreement on Q4 results yet. So we can expect even better results for 2022....

Yes that's 100% correct.

It's the algorithm my friend. Plain and simple. The only question is how far are they going to milk this? At some point it has to come to an end.

If it rains Newtcon will blame an algorithm...If he losses his keys he will blame an algorthim...if he can't find a friend he will blame an algorithm.
