I now own 1.2 million shares of Xebec

As this board was busy fighting and name calling, as usual, I've been busy accumulating shares. I bought hundreds of thousands of shares on Thursday and Friday, bringing my average cost basis down considerably. The value in the 60 cent range is undeniable and I've seized this tremendous opportunity.

I don't post much anymore as you've noticed, nor do I even read this board much as I'm busy enjoying life and travelling. I don't have time for negativity or petty internet quarrels.

If we reach National Bank's $1.75 price target, or even Raymond James $1.50 target in 12 months, I'd be content, but looking at the broader market it certainly seems like the tide has turned for small caps in general, and green energy stocks in particular, so these price targets in hindsight may turn out to be considerably conservative.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and remember to stay positive and spread love, not hate.

It's good that you were able to buy at such a low sp. It will surely pay off if you're patient.   You should check in more often, Lupuslupus missed you so much....lol

Yes, to say that this Lupuslupus character has an unhealthy obsession with me would be an understatement, but I don't hold it against him because mental illness is not a choice. I hope he can seek professional help and gets back to a healthy state of mind.

This is how you put your money where your mouth is. Let's hope 5i Research is wrong. They are clearly betting on ANRG and their comments can mislead retails
Comment by retiredcf on Aug 13, 2022 1:45pm
Just to be clear, it was a subscriber who mentioned ANRG regarding a possible takeover, not 5i. And yes, while they think that as an independent company, ANRG has merit, a far bigger supporter seems to be TD Bank  which thinks the SP will quadruple and maintains it as their top pick in the clean energy sector.  While not as extreme as XBC, pull up a one year chart on any of my other ...more

Thanks for sharing retirecf. TD's predictions just makes me want to run away from the stock (anrg). They already played that card and failed. Can't say I don't learn from my mistakes.

Mind your own business Babe. You went way out of line. Usually those who write the comment are dead as broke.

I recently closed on the sales of 2 of my investment properties, so used some of the proceeds of those sales towards share purchases of not only Xebec, but also towards my blue chip dividend paying stocks. I'm not an employee that works a 9-5 hour job, nor am I a business owner. I'm a real estate and stock investor. I value money just as much as anyone else, but I take big risks. Without ...more

Well done @Winston. With great risks come great rewards. Requires conviction and cojones. Cheers.

Guess Winston is busy enjoying life and travelling.

If misery loves company, then you can take comfort that Winston is probably one of the biggest bagholders here Talk about horrible investment ideas
Comment by LongoGlueStick on Oct 09, 2022 2:29pm
Yikes, it looks like Winston lost in excess of $700,000. Kurt, Prahbu, Vounassis, Munroe and Archembault did a real number on all of us.

Um, how could you have purchased ".........hundreds of thousands of shares on Thursday and Friday....." when trading was halted on September 29 before market open and no shares have been traded since....? I had this Winston guy on ignore for some reason. I guess now I know why.
Comment by tony08 on Oct 10, 2022 11:21pm
I don't intend to debate with you about Xebec, I prefer to wait for the news when they come out.   However, it took me a minute to realize that you're talking nonsense about Winston.   You claim he made a post saying he bought several stocks on September 29th and 30th....   Last post Winston made about Xebec was September 19 The last time he posted to say he ...more

Its an old post. He didn't say he bought on the 28 and 29
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Oct 11, 2022 1:22am
If he really did buy that many shares before the trading halt, he far worse off than if he was lying about it. This guy is either a phony who pumped a stock he didn't own (which would make him a very lucky man), or a guy who was telling the truth all along and has lost a bundle on this name.
Comment by Kronyboy on Oct 11, 2022 9:02am
That is a very old post you are quoting by Winston1
Comment by Lupuslupus on Oct 11, 2022 9:46am
It's a oldie but a goldie  lol does Winston buying this pos 2 months before it went belly up make it any less relevant? it's funny as hell
Comment by tony08 on Oct 11, 2022 9:58am
The point is not whether Winston has written this post in the past, but whether he lied by claiming to have bought stocks that were no longer trading on September 29 or 30.   It is obvious that this is not the case.   My second point is to make "Alwayslong" aware that it's too easy to attack someone's reputation without checking the facts first...... It barely ...more

If what Winston1 was saying was true, that is one painful loss. Makes my 20k loss look like nothing.
