XPO Logistics has introduced a new sign-on-glass electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) system across its UK Transport and Specialist Services operations, enhancing the customer service process.
The solution enables XPO Logistics to capture order delivery signatures in real time and provides customers with immediate online access to the transaction information. It also ensures that any discrepancies are documented by the drivers at the time of delivery, and has the capability to capture images if there are exceptions or evidence of damage.
The ePOD technology enables customers to authorise invoices within minutes of a delivery being completed and supports near zero invoice discrepancies, which can significantly improve cash flow and reduce administration costs for customers.
