The Gold price is within 5% of its all-time high, and Zacapa has a 9,000+ acre gold project surrounded on three sides by giant AngloGold Ashanti. Not only is AngloGold nearby, they have stated very clearly on recent earnings conf. calls that they want to make the Beatty gold district a world-class camp. There's little chance in my view that Zacapa's South Bullfrog project won't get acquired or farmed out to AngloGold or Kinross or Augusta Gold.
Yet, South Bullfrog is just one of 2 gold projects and 2 copper projects. The valuation of this company at $8M seems way too low. Management plans to spinout the copper projects later this year. Shareholders will end up with a promising gold company and prospective copper company, 2 share positions for the price of one.
