GLJ link & Mr. Gilbert

GLJ link & Mr. GilbertI opened some discussion last week on why I thought Daryl Gilbert was a very strong addition to the Zed.i Board of Directors. I had a chance to speak with several executives at a couple of mid sized Oil and Gas Companies we have invested in. I asked them what their thoughts were on Daryl joining Zed.i's BOD. The feedback was very positive, and the reason for this was due to the fact that Daryl has a very strong following in the Calgary business community. In Oil and Gas exploration, flow rates and current production are very important numbers on a day to day basis. These numbers can change for a variety of reasons. Downtime, mechanical problems, natural decline, etc. Likely the more valuable equation in a gas producer's business model is the amount of gas/oil/ngls that reside in the ground and are ultimately recoverable. Future production and the value of the company often hinges directly on a reserves and/or deliverablitity study. It is one thing for a company to believe they have gas, it is another to have a professional approved document that confirms in high likelyhood the hydrocarbons are indeed there. Daryl was the President of GLJ for a number of years, and is very highly respected in the Calgary Community. I anticipate he will help to create a better understanding within the Executive Circles of what it is that Zed.i can provide to their clients. I am going to assume that the connection is related to better information equates to better reserve estimations. Again the difference between manually estimated and recorded information versus digital real time information.
