He enters into a kind of "panic mode" where he scares people by spamming board with posts like "Oh no ! these shorters will let it go down (insert price about 10 cents lower than the price when he wrote his posts). So it's not bashing, but it's a way to say to people "This will only go down" so they sell.
2. There never has been any substantial shorting. Around 1% of the total float is NEXT-TO-NOTHING when it comes to shorting stock. The timing sure make it seems like someone who was in the know managed to short around dilution time, but it was with a unsubstantial number of shares. So it looked like people who knew instead sell until it reached around the 35 cents marks, but no one shorted substantially.
