you need to re-read that. It doesn't say that the orders are not published but that orders from the same broker are matched where possible. I have seen many large same broker orders go through....

If this is true, it doesn't seem right that they are allowed to do this.  It seems to me that it could be widely abused when there is no apparent view to what they are doing.

Often wondered, when a trade does not show up on the exchange, if the brokerage had a sale in house that covered the buy, do they just make the trade in house without going through the exchange ...more

This sucks.   There needs to be more transparency.  If I am on the Canadian exchange (TMX.v) and trade on the exchange through a normal broker (TDWaterhouse), it should show up on the ...more
