It doesn't happen all the time but in most cases, the SP will decline by approx the same amount as the special dividend (as is happening today). Nothing to worry about. GLTA

Although the special div was a surprise announcement as far as I know. Usually after the Xdiv day a stock will trade down most or all of the div paid. So you will probably see it trade down after June ...more
