Similar situation to 1986

Summer 1986 oil gapped up from low $10s to $15+ in a few days ... the chart pattern is similar to the one we're in now. Very similar.

Demand side - Iran oil

World demand increasing faster than expected 1.5 to 2m barrels/day to over 94m barrels/day. Source: Bloomberg, IEA. Iran's 30m barrels in tankers are 1/3 of a day's need. Oil is oversold.

And don't forget they drilled that new well with "free" KMDC money.  So that's just added production at no cost.  Not sure about the .15 at 50$ oil.  Good production ...more
