My understanding is that the ACB would “decrease” by that amount. Essentially it increases your capital gain when you sell the units. However, NAV is maintained because the fund does not pay any tax.

the future ? It is taxable this year in taxable accounts as a capital gain but my understanding is that it may increase your adjusted cost base ( .44 ) in the future upon a selling of the units . I ...more
