WOW bid/asks look crazy on triple witchday
Just had a look at the market depth and it only looks like this on optiions expiry. With the tremendous volatility of late its not a surprise.

LBS unit nav to DEC 14 = approx: $17.56
So the spreadsheet is showing a gain of about 65 cents since DEC 07 update. This does not account for the effect of the recent offering. The last trader at $7.67, means the premium is only

Yes I " pecked away " too . It seems that there is a market sentiment shift with the banks but it is early days yet to say that is really so. I also liked that the premium is very small

Still like the bigger exposure to the lifecos, their profits are NOT going to go down much, certainly not back to the levels of 0% interest for a decade or more. Banks still have some headwinds

Covering shorts
Was short over 50KLBS before offering -- have covered 70% with the remainder to be done this week. Huge drop in the premium make shorts here unattractive. Small loss in LBS short more than made up for

Speaking of clarity Brompton updates LBS holdings % weight
So found the CM now occupies the top holdings spot at 10.3 % with GWO. Seems the managers took some profits ( or had covered calss taken out ) on some of the top 5 from last month. I noted NA dropped

Agreed that these offerings are less frequent. For Brompton funds this reflects the fewer number of their splitshare funds that trade at a sufficient premium to allow an offfering -- only SBC and LBS
