My take is that the gov't of China now has 20,000 to 25,000 tonnes of Gold and the people of China may have another 15,000 tonnes. See Alasdair Macleod. Their purpose is to have a Gold backed ...more

But what you forget is, the dollar is spreaded all over the world.From the financial system side he has the greatest volume and liquidity. All other currncys are derivate from the US-Dollar.
