Return of Capital
The dividend will be classed as a return of capital, so it will not be taxable if you paid more then 10 cents per share for all the LFD shares you own. Speak to your accountant.

To my knowledge you don't pay any taxe, nor can you claim any loss if LFD goes to zero. I myself hold some LFD in the TFSA. It is good if the stocks make money but

if you dont want to pay tax, sell your shares one day before the dividends are distributed, and buy back the shares next day. you will be able to avoid paying tax by this way.

Jonny, I don't think the dividend is a sure thing. There is a hedge fund buying 20% or so of the shares outstanding and they may kick out the old management, if they aer successful. I
