Seritage reit was 2.5 billion for 250 locations so valued each one at $10 million. Sears Canada has 95 full line stores and 26 home for total of 121 stores. Using same metric of $10 million values

sears canada can do reit like seritage in US
Wonder why they haven't done so. On average seritage been able to release the old sears space at 5 times previous rent. Makes sense as department store rents are heavily discounted. Sears2 concept

fairholme fund returns 25 percent for 2016 - he likes sears
This fund is second biggest shareholder after Lampert with 20 million shares and reported adding 600000 in December sedar report. Berkowitz the founder has been buying all the way down from spin off

eaton centre lease worth more than whole company
400000 sq ft at $1 a sq foot for another 50 years that sears is using for office space is worth more than the 175 million market cap of company. Has drifted down as expected. Plan to start buying this

mason store taking over sears yorkdale
Private company who have disclosed 400 million in revenue with 2000 employees. Sears has 17000 with 2.7 billion so they do have about 2000 employees too many. Mason can make money at 400 million

Since deal with Sears signed in November there is possibility sears results will be disclosed in goeasy report today. I decided to buy more. Volumes are light so need to wait a little.
