They can simply replace the debenture by much cheaper bank debt or renegotiate (part of) it. and they will have built some cash by then. How much depends on oil & gas prices.

If they count why has the company been so unfriendly with their investors over a decade now? They have nothing to protect their investors and as others are paying hefty dividends and doing buybacks

You probably don't even have to buy thst many shares to have an impact. The constant odd lot numbers are clearly margin sales. They hit the bids with those like a negative feedback loop.
