I do not think the value of the non-core assets/ businesses is reflected in the price. Stocks routinely pop after they dispose of non-core assets because the business becomes easier to value / compare ...more

You do know it is a zero sum game right? If Heritage spins of 25 cents worth of CXS then the price will be $1.90 and .25 of HG. That is common sense. This has nothing but downside sorry man.

Well I wouldn't call it easy because there can be unlimited upside losses. But CXS reminds me of RIMM when I shorted it at $72. It was a very clear bet and I ended up covering at $22, reshorting ...more
