Yes, this is normal. I too have TD and called years ago about this. This will occur every time the US market is open and Canadian markets are closed. It will reset as soon as trading resumes here ...more

Opened my account this am to see account value drop of almost $70k (over 5%) between Friday and today! Noticed that numerous CDN splits were quoted in $US. DFN at $4.41 and LFE at $2.46 WTF ! TD rep ...more

There is tab listed as "documents" one of  which shows the holdings and weighting % to Aug 30.. So we always get the exact holdings after the quarterly sedar report. From there its an ...more

DFN unit nav in realtime @ approx: $16.45

So value of the common shares are $6.45 and last trade @ $6.19 means the discount is 26 cents or about 4 %.

This is a split fund, and the UNIT NAV is made  the value of the holdings plus cash.  So quite easy to keep track of the UNIT NAV daily. Or get a close estimate.

DFN has gained about 17 cents in UNIT NAV since sept 30, and with the last trade @ $6.09 the discount on those common shares would be 25 cents of about  3.9%.. DF commons carry 12 cents more in ...more

Showing a gain of only 15 cents now, and unfortunately had a big holding in TD, which has taken a hit today. DF holdings doing much better and are up over 18 cents since sept 30. TD weighted lower ...more

Spreadsheet showing a gain of 18 cents here, since sept 30.. and DF has gained 20. I dont see any point in holding DFN vs DF, but whatever floats your boat. I use value (NAV) premium or discount to ...more
