I exitted even sooner but as they say no one ever lost money selling for a profit. I still have core positions in DGS, BK, GDV and FFN/DFN prefs that I will hold through any selloffs.

I think you still did pretty good... I am thankfull that you flagged lifecos around a month or two ago... I am exiting some positions as well but increased on LBS for now....

LFE unit nav to Oct 1 = approx; $16.43 after dist.
SO only a loss of 3 cents since yesterdays guesstimate. Waiting on the Quadravest for the full update, to see how close this comes.

No i dont think there is too much casualty insurance involved with the big 4 CAD lifecos in that part of the US. But the minor holdings of US insurers for sure will be somewhat affected

Not just the general dumping in the markets early, but US insurers are bound to see some negative from the Hurricane in SE US.. Likely damage in the hundreds of billions of $, and many lives lost

LFE UNIT NAV to Sept. 30 = approx: $16.46
Showing a gain of near 62 cents before dist. and UNIT before dist was around $16.63. LFE the leading gainer again amongst the Quadravest splits once again. Next closest likely was FTN.

LFE unit nav to Sept 27 = approx; $16.57 before dist.
After distributions the common shares would be worth $6.40 today... and with the last trade @ $6.12 the discount is 28 cents after distributions are factored in. LFE did pass DGS before in UNIT NAV

If GWO gets creditted with the dividend on ex divvy date , I add that amount to the stock price. It balances the books.

Spreadsheet is now showing a gain of over 56 cents since Midmonth udpate... and that values the commons at $6.40 after distributions are accounted for. Last trade @ $6,17 gives it a discount of 23

LFE actually receives the credit for those dividends on ex divvy date. Receiving dividends from their holdings increases the NAV , does not cause a discount. I normally add the amount of the dividend
