Form for voting shares nullifies my trading rights.

Has anyone read the proxy form published on sedar.com. My read is that by signing, I relinquish and agree to abstaining from doing ANYTHING with MEDRELEAF shares pending the transaction. In return I ...more

RE:RE:ACB $8.47*3.575 = $30.28 LEAF

Deal risk looks pretty low on this one. If you're going to get in anyway there's probably no advantage to waiting (in my opinion).

RE:ACB $8.47*3.575 = $30.28 LEAF

Would you recommend buying LEAF now to aquire ACB or wait till the shareholder vote?

RE:ACB $8.47*3.575 = $30.28 LEAF

If I remember correctly, I believe the arbitrage discount on CMED lasted right through until just the week before the actual takeover.  So, we probably still have a long ways to go before this ...more

ACB $8.47*3.575 = $30.28 LEAF

Enjoy the $5 discount on LEAF while it lasts. The same thing happened with CMED until CMED caught up to the linked prices via the ratio. With Canopy listing on the NYSE tomorrow, the sector will get ...more

My preference would be to hope for Canopy as well. I worry that ACB's cost side is becoming too bloated which will negatively impact EPS. LEAF and WEED have similar risk adjusted rates of return ...more

The CMED merger turned friendly in January.  At that point they had both majority, board and insiders on side.

They only need 10.6% of the remaining shares to get to the 2/3 of the votes requires.  The only way LEAF holders would not agree to merge with Aurora is if Aphria or Canopy come in with a better ...more

$24.84 LEAF = $6.95 ACB

Buying LEAF in the $24s is a very easy decision.  The same type of arbitrage happened on the CMED takeover and those of us who leveraged it did very well. Happy trading and investing everyone!
