There was a development in SA...looks like Total "wants" to stay in now. If you want to drill in the SA Orange basin, it's not wise to play hardball with 11B/12B and pee on SAs leg....

Bonny light oil was 89.60 on Friday. Btw. CNQ + Total want to quit 11b/12b because the Ng is not commercial and/or SA ng market too small. That would finish the Afe venture...worthless.

AOI generally gets a premium to Brent, which is fair as Egina is considered more desirable. I'm looking at the SP vs Brent and shaking my head. Guess it's time increase my average cost basis

BTG sells $120M Prime Debt to AOI.

As part of the deal AOI buys USD 120M. BTG debt share. Prime has total $240M debt. Looks like they want to pay it down asap.  This means zeo money for SH.

Good deal for BTG who gets their hands on Namibia and AOI massive entitlement.  I like the div and cash distribution aspect, as well as the Jan 2024 effective date.

Imho, it's a great deal. But no symplifying of the structure. They'll create the 100th sub-company, so I don't expect the overhead to come down. They'll rename the "burned" ...more
