That is correct 12 millions out 180 millions. Average volume about 1+ million a day. No large volumes are recorded so far after Jan 15th. So no significant covering is expected. Most of these shares ...more

It is almost impossible to determine exact short positions. At a minimum there were more that 12 million shares short on Jan 15th. That is enough to get a few shorts nervous.

Just for correction these are March contracts that had the jumb and it is not due the rollover that typically happens 21 or 22 of the month. Anyway the cold weather is going to push this further ...more
