Mr. Greg Hryhorchuk reports
STACCATO PERMITS FOR FURTHER DRILLING AT SOUTH EUREKA, NEVADA; 9 HOLE PROGRAM TO TEST NEWLY IDENTIFIED STYLE OF HIGH-GRADE GOLD MINERALIZATION
Staccato Gold Resources Ltd. has engaged the services of JBR Environmental Consultants of Elko, Nev., to amend the Lookout Mountain United States Bureau of Land Management notice of intent (NOI), adding nine drill sites to the original three-hole drill program just completed. The Lookout project is located within Staccato's 100-per-cent-owned South Eureka property on the southern extension of the Cortez trend, Nevada. Current plans are to initiate drilling in early February, 2006.
Staccato's management and geological team held a technical review at the company's Elko, Nev., offices on Jan. 6 to 9, 2006. The purpose of the meeting was to review and analyze the recent drill results at Lookout Mountain and determine the next drill targets.
The recently completed drill program yielded high-grade zones in all three holes over significant thickness along a strike length of more than 150 metres (500 feet).
