Santoy Announces Uranium Assays from Anomaly

Santoy Announces Uranium Assays from Anomaly Santoy Announces Uranium Assays from Anomaly 7 Area, Labrador ======================================================================= Santoy Resources Ltd. (TSX Venture Exchange -- SAN) is pleased to report assay results from it's 100% owned Anomaly 7 area claims in the Central Mineral Belt of Labrador. During the past exploration season, field work was concentrated on the historic Anomaly 7 area where previous diamond drilling by Canico (1978 to 1980), intersected significant uranium mineralization hosted in Archean "basement" intrusive rocks. The best reported intersection was 0.129 % U3O8 over 23.4 meters, including 9.68 meters of 0.249 % U3O8. In the fall of 2005, Santoy completed a number of channel samples with the use of a rock saw over the discovery outcrop. The results confirmed the presence of significant mineralization: Channel From To Interval(m) Average ppm U **Average % U3O8 Line 0+15E 0+03N 0+08N 5.0 968 0.114 Line 0+23E 0+02N 0+07.3N 5.3 1827 0.216 Line 0+32E 0+01N 0+06N 4.0 1072 0.126 Line 0+63E 0+05S 0+08S 3.0 2757 0.325 ** calculated-results were reported in ppm U Santoy also completed three diamond drill holes for a total of 514 metres, to test beneath and along strike from the previous drilling. Drill hole A7-05-01 was designed to test the down dip extension (at --35 metres) of mineralization intersected in Canico's most easterly hole, BH 51569. That drill hole returned a best intersection of 0.132% U3O8 over 11.4 meters. A7-05-02 was designed to test 50 meters along strike to the east of the mineralization intersected in BH 51569. A7-05-03 was drilled to test the possibility that the west extension of the mineralization trends to the north of Canico's most westerly hole, BH 51570. Drill Hole From (m) To (m) Interval(m) Intersection(%U3O8/m) A7-05-01 89.05 91.70 2.70 0.278 A7-05-01 158.81 160.81 2.00 0.129 A7-05-02 73.82 75.32 1.50 0.062 A7-05-03 39.00 43.40 4.40 0.071 A7-05-03 39.00 40.00 1.00 0.218 Other work completed by Santoy in the Anomaly 7 area included a lake sediment geochemical survey, prospecting and mapping along well defined structural linears, some of which had documented showings from the previous Canico work. An airborne radiometric and magnetometer survey was completed, but unfortunately not until after the field crew had demobilized for the season. Both the lake sediment sampling and the airborne radiometrics identified a number of anomalous areas and these will be evaluated and prioritized for field follow up during the summer of 2006. Airborne radiometric and magnetometer surveys were also completed on the remainder of Santoy's 100% owned claims. These areas, known as Gravelly River, West Michelin, and West Micmac, will also be subject to follow up programs. The Qualified Person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, responsible for review of this news release is Ron Nichols, P.Geo., Vice-President of Exploration.
