initial bulk sampling 2.7 tons results positiI dont know what the street is waiting for. Results reported back in September for 2.7 tons from threes mini bulk samples and reported larger stones which justifies the diamond distribution curve. SGS Lakefield Research Limited conducted the testwork. The samples, totalling 2,711.9 kilograms, were collected from pits No. 1, 4 and 8 (701.5, 1,097.4 and 913.0 kilograms respectively). A total of 63 diamonds having commercial characteristics (greater than 0.85 millimetre and having gem qualities) was recovered. In conjunction with the DMS tests, attrition milling, whereby rock is ground in a rotating drum (attrition mill) to produce a finer-sized material (rock flour), which is then concentrated to produce a heavy mineral concentrate containing heavy minerals (density greater than three), including diamonds and indicator minerals, was conducted on a portion (10 per cent by weight) of each sample. A full audit of the testwork and diamond recovery was only undertaken on the sample from pit No. 1, with the result that two additional diamonds (greater than 1.18 millimetres) were recovered. The audit of pit No. 1 consisted of screening and recrushing of the DMS tailings to minus three millimetres and passing through the DMS plant a second time. The second pass tailings were dried, screened and subject to magnetic separation, grease tabling and X-ray sorting to recover any remaining diamonds. A total of 78 diamonds (76 diamonds were less than 0.85 millimetre and two were greater than 1.18 millimetres) was recovered during the auditing. Samples from pit No. 4 and pit No. 8 were not audited and therefore all available diamonds may not have been recovered. SGS Lakefield states in its report that it is its opinion that the grades of the samples are better than grades reported from other diamond properties in the Wawa area and particularly when compared with the diamond grades reported for samples from Wawa volcaniclastic formations.
