Mr. Steve Leptick reports
IBR ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF CO-OPERATION AND ALLIANCE AGREEMENT
International Bio Recovery Corp. (IBR) has signed a co-operation and alliance agreement with Klean Industries Inc. (KI), an international developer of comprehensive vertically integrated environmental solutions delivering scalability and reliability.
The agreement was reached at a recent meeting in Vancouver between Jesse Klinkhamer, president and chief executive officer of Klean Industries, Ben Van Dyk, chairman of the board, and Steve Leptick, president and CEO of IBR. The agreement was sealed at an official ceremony in the headquarters of IBR in Vancouver.
"It is an important milestone for IBR to work with a company like Klean Industries to offer a complete solution to the growing problem of non-separated municipal solid waste," said Mr. Van Dyk.
With both companies' exceptional technological achievements and expertise in different areas, they will be able to combine their technologies and expertise to offer their clients the total solution for virtually any waste stream imaginable. The uniqueness of this particular agreement allows for the two companies to rapidly develop, deploy and build sustainable solutions for waste that are second to none which yield the highest possible returns, both environmentally and financially.
As in many parts of the world, waste is an important commodity in a growing economy of any region and both parties see this alliance as an opportunity to develop self-contained, self-propelled and sustainable recycling projects for non-separated municipal solid waste (MSW). The proprietary IBR EATAD technology will be used to convert biodegradable organic waste into environmentally safe soil fertility products in a matter of two to five days. Using naturally occurring thermophilic bacteria, IBR's patented and/or proprietary technology converts organic materials from their original form into high-quality, pathogen-free, environmentally progressive soil fertility products. The KI proprietary pyrolysis, gasification and liquefaction (PGL) will be used to treat the non-organic faction such as plastics, tires and other hydrocarbon-based waste products into clean fuels, heat, steam, electricity, recycled steel, assorted minerals, nanomaterial and carbon black for a multitude of uses.
Together both companies' integrated skill sets and unique knowledge base will tackle the issues related to a growing population, a growing waste problem (landfill is not an option) and materials with value currently going to waste that could be recovered. The combined technologies offer environmental, social and economic benefits second to none, the triple bottom line.
"This agreement signifies a unique movement towards sustainable development and we are proud to be working with Klean Industries, a leader in this field, and we look forward to developing a long-term relationship out of the initial agreement with KI," said Mr. Van Dyk.
