RE: mostly bad newsDisappointing alright, if there is something big here it's proving to be very elusive, to say the least. Maybe they should revert to the original name El Pavon (the turkey). I wonder what Meridian will do after they finish drilling Las Valles? That was an extraordinary deal they made with Radius and the property doesn't seem to be living up to it.
But, I've never looked at Radius as Natividad only. Coach, you're absolutely right about the level of communication from the company, although the MD&A available on sedar does reveal some interesting information. (I had to go there to learn that they dropped Amatista in Mexico.) At least it shows they haven't exactly been sitting on their asses.
They've carried on work at San Pedro while trying to venture it out. In Guatemala, they've stated plans to go underground at Tambor in an effort to better define the high grade ore shoots there. A review of the Tambor data on the website shows some very impressive intersections. They are also continuing with regional exploration in Mexico and, apparently Columbia. As far as I know, they still hold a number of other concessions in Nicaragua and Guatemala as well.
Also from the MD&A, $12.2 million in cash and marketable securities and 53,385,988 shares O/S with no warrants and only 3,475,000 options outstanding. This pretty much rules out the chance of any significant dilution for a long time.
12+ million cash and a Market Cap of 18 - 19 million... yikes! The stock has taken a beating, for sure. Could it go any lower? Will it ever go up again? I don't know the answers, but I am considering my options.
The option I'm favouring at the moment is selliing a portion of my position and buying back in after 30 days allowing me to book a loss for income tax and reducing my average cost. Then I would just tuck it away and wait for better days. Who knows what Ridgeway might have up his sleeve?
... just some thoughts
