RE: Jan 16/2007i happen to agree with stockpicker. Westwind is an institutional dealer. They sell their clients on a story and hopefully place them in an issue which returns capital gains. A professional Intstitutional house, if they know what they are doing, know their clients and place them into opportunities. The problem which appears here is that Westwind does not know who their clients are. This is a fundamental mistake for any broker. The 'know your client rule' is written in stone by the investment dealers association. If they did, they would be sure not to saddle themselves with a seller at these levels. According to them, their analysts and everyone else on this board including myself, all of us look at dianor as a stark raving buy at these levels. Yet Westwind doesnt have the ability to convince a client who they obiously put in at higher levels to hold tight. Its a dispicable story and they should be replaced by Dianor and certainly would casue alarm amongst any corporation currently or about to consider doing business with this group. Quite an eye opener. We will see if they continue to sell tomorrow but rest assured Dianor will be replacing them shortly if they want a return of their market cap. I am sure stockpicker will not argue with me.
