TA's spike on CDS

Some options as to the goings on with TA -either TA is going bust and the credit market are the only ones to know about it, as 5yr CreditDefaultSwaps on TA spiked close to 60% yesterday. Or speculation on a takeout drove the market up. What's it worth on a takeover is the next question.
