to all..........dont feel you have 'missed' this stock. the 8 cent jump yesterday is only the very early stages of a major breakout for this company. It's puzzled me for ages how this stock has not been noticed by other major players in this camp. This stock should be 80 cents based on Opinica alone.
The geology, alteration and mineralization at Eleonore South is spectactular. I'm like a kid in a candy store waiting for ER to start channel sampling their trenches. Eastmain was a great partner for AZM (so was Everton over at Claude-Manuel), since both EVR and ER are very thorough in their exploration approaches. They differ in the fact ER chooses soil geochem and trenching to identify drill targets, whereas EVR prefers geophysics prior to agressive drilling. Both have cash and arent afraid to spend it.
SOI is run by a prospector, which already gives the company HUGE credibility in my thinking. Their one JV partner (GZZ) is run by a very competent person (Glenn Mullen) who is one of the better geos' that can think 'out of the box'.
The involvement of Goldcorp and the financial backing of McEwen in EVR further adds to a 'stamp of approval' at Eleonore South and Claude-Manuel, respectively.
Once Eastmain completes their IP survey at Eleonore South it will become clear to the 3-way JV that SOI has the extension of the multiple zones at Eleonore South. Clearly some of the best soils and EM are at the boundary and continue on SOI property. The smart thing to do for this JV would be to try and cut a boardroom deal with SOI/GZZ over the Cheechoo block prior to a drill program, otherwise the SOI property becomes much more valuable upon a good hole near the boundary.
It's taken a while, but we finally have a market play shaping up here folks. With the onset of melting snow and expanded exploration work in the area, and along with the pending Goldcorp initial reserve release at Eleonore, we should be in for a major year at Opinica. SOI is positioned sooooooooooooo well for success.
I still feel that a new Major Company will come into this camp and take out either SOI, GZZ, EVR or ER. Considering its shaping up to be the most exciting new gold camp since Hemlo, what Major wouldn't want a position? I don't doubt for a minute that Barrick, Teck-Cominco, Newmont and the likes are watching this area VERY CAREFULLY. SOI represents the last of the junior holdouts that hasn't got a partner yet on 80% of it's landholdings (one of which has a new showing - RS).
very exciting days ahead.
bottom line. dont worry about the 8 cent gain. 48 cents is dirt cheap.
