I remember a discussion on a board about bashers that got quite involved and characteristics like you've described were discussed.A couple of posters argued that it was ludicrous to suggest that bashers were paid because their work on a particular forum would have no real effect on share selling.I was inclined to agree until I thought about my own situation.A while back my name somehow landed on one or more lists and I started to recieve numerous phone calls from people promoting various companies and suggesting I buy shares.I still recieve calls but much less because I always let the callers know I'm not interested right away, and in no uncertain terms.So if money will be spent to contact individual potential investors like myself one at a time by phone it follows that it could certainly be spent to try to get people who own stock to disinvest or sell their shares to effect certain outcomes.The purpose is reversed.And what more efficient venue than a forum were numerous people at one time are more or less a captive audience for the basher's message.A lot of the audience usually gets right into the give and take and keeps the ball rolling.Sometimes I've noticed that the bashers seem to acquire converts who actually start doing their job for them.Meanwhile the message keeps being repeated.Basically that's why I believe that many bashers are paid and I suppose the same argument could be used for paid pumpers.
