Molybdenum producer may miss output targetMolybdenum producer may miss output target
Thompson Creek Metals Co., the metal producer whose shares have risen more than six-fold in the past year, said it may fall short of its 2007 molybdenum output target as it expands its Idaho mine.
The company is processing lessconcentrated stockpiled ore while it works on the expansion that will be completed this year, CEO Kevin Loughrey said yesterday. Depending on the unpredictable ore grades, the company will fall short of its 21-million-pound target for the year by about four to five per cent, he said.
