My Thoughts...

My Thoughts... True to my speculation, gold pulled back slightly earlier last week only to rebound with a vengence on Thursday and Friday. It continued it's bull run to the tune of $750 for Dec futures. Interestingly, Greg Wilkins, CEO of Barrick was quoted saying he expects gold to hit a $1000 over the next few years. Greg comments are calculated, not quips from the hip, so to speak. I personally expect a slightly lower average gold price over the next few years but, what do I know! Last week. I wrote that I favour U308 companies above the gold's, however, after digesting last weeks activities, I rate them as equals going forward into Oct. I expect PDN will continue slowly climbing back to last years high over the winter and into next spring. Base metal continue to be strong and will only become stronger going forward as the demand from China and India increases. Kinross, disapointed me last week considering the increase in the bullion price. It lagged ABX and G to name a couple. However, it is still undervalued and, in my opinion contiues to be a top pick in the golds. High River Gold (HRG) broke through the $3 mark on Friday and should do well next week as $3 was a technical barrier. As for U308's. I still like PDN as a value play. Base metals, I like EQN for a great copper play. Enough from me.... Good Luck.... Mad
