The reason my wife and I are involved with SGX and one other spec venture is that we believe [assuming we picked the right ones] that they offer the 'little guy' an opportunity that Citi Bank, Merril and other high priced investment 'opportunities' do not. Actually many of those type of companies, as well as other 'big guns', are in trouble because of either greed or in some way not carrying out their fiduciary responsibilities in a responsible way.
As an SGX shareholder, remember that if and when the stock takes off that nothing keeps going up forever. It is entirely possible that the company really has the best of the best in the ground but if nobody because of world wide financial events can loan the Sage Gold money to advance the project OR if those that would be inclined to buy out SGX are in financial straights, then this whole thing may get put on hold for some time. I am only speaking in the interest of balance here. I am NOT selling my SGX shares but I do not want to put my head in the sand regarding my surroundings.
History does repeat itself and even though that is true, we as humans do not easily learn from the past mistakes that others or other countries have made. The face of America has changed since after WW2 and sad to say the condition of the Yankee greenback reflects that in a negative way.
My dad came from the "hand shake" era and a man's word was the only 'bonded contract' needed. Of course there have always been lawyers around but I think you guys/gals got the jist of what I am trying to say here. Many in America have forgotton the suffering of the ones that built the country. We became 'fat cats' who somehow thought we were 'bullet proof' and pride and arrogance always result. It also results in a fall. As the saying goes, the bigger they are the harder they fall. Worse yet, the natural resources we had and the hard work of many of the country's citizens was supposed to result in our being far more willing and able to help struggling nations and people WITHOUT any strings attached. Many churches and compassionate people still do what they can but many of those in authority have turned within, and their interests are self serving and very controlling. To a large degree we have been affecting the world in a negative way and somehow feel that we should be its policeman while at the same time, we have 'egg all over our faces'.
We are going down my friends and sad to say we will take many with us.
That is NOT gloom and doom preaching it is a fact BUT all life goes in cycles and there will be an upward turn of events sometime down the road. That is when Sage gold [if you still have some shares in it at that time] and other smaller natural resource companies will have their day big time.
The cycle of life has always been that when people or a society is in trouble or in some way suffering, they will be forced to pray [and that they will do] and also have to work harder that ever to get out of the mess they or their country got themselves into. Once the chains of poverty fall or they get some type of healing or help and "the good life sets in" humans start to drop there guard and within a generation or so, the results of an easier life style, effect many in a negative way. Most of you guys and gals are of Canadian birthright. Remember how the Americans suffered fought and finally broke free of English domination and rule. That is part of our history BUT what did some of those Yanks decide to do with their freedom? They got a brainstorm and paid a hostile visit to Canada. I personally thank God they got their tails whipped because they forgot from whence they came and their humble beginnings and surely would have but a yoke or burden on your Country or taken it over outright.
Our ancestors left many nations because of religious persecution. They came here and it wasn't to long after, that some of these folks began to persecute others for their beliefs. Our civil war was an extreme example of how those with the same blood line and of the same ethnic and religious background openly slew each other to the tune of over a million casualities. Slavery was not the only issue there. Yes it was the passionate fuse that lite up many but behind the scenes were the greedy businessmen and bankers who would profit no matter who won the war.
So you might be inclined to say, 'what does all that have to do with Sage Gold'? EVERYTHING. When the dollar collapses, [please discern the signs of the times] then everything will go on hold for a while BUT I still maintain that if Sage really has the goods, eventually someone will want to take those goods out of the ground because all life is not going to cease because of a country that got to big for its britches and had to be taken down a peg or two OR three. The FIRST companies that will recover are those that are involved in natural resources and the very thing the Yanks so freely gave away, [among other things] will be the very thing that will help in the restoration process. Gold and or other physical commodities will once again 'rule'. Our government attempted by law to take gold from us once before and will with some modifications to the Patriot act in place, no doubt do it again. I find it amazing the very thing the US Government sold [so they could 'freely print' [counterfeit] what ever amount they wanted to] is what they will demand that their citizens cough up.
Finally friends, please remember that those that want the whole pie do not know national boundries and you folks are not immune to these types plying their wares and peddling their influence in a way that would be considered by many of your citizens to be anti-Canadian.

P.S. Try to find out if your internet brokers and banks are involved with hedge funds and derivitives. If they are drop them like a hot potatoe cuz they are the first ones that are going to bit the dust. Already some brokers AND banks including Citi Bank have placed restrictions on some of the trading accounts that their customers have. Many, many billions in losses have been incurred by these who hold our funds in their accounts.
