RE: To; SprottletoothHuh?
Maybe I'm taking this personally and answering out-of-turn because it can't be me you're talking about. I've never owned any of those deals except NOT. I posted on the NG bullboard after the Galore Creek fiasco, and NG might be interesting here as a possible takeover target next year, but I didn't own it before it crashed and I don't own it now. As Dave says, you can't spec everything you like. I'd have to look up the symbols on the other stocks you listed.
I made some chump change flipping NOT on that one-hole wonder from last winter; but missed out entirely on the recent run to over $7.00 on their McFauld's Lake "discovery" being hyped as the next Voisey's Bay. I say "discovery" because frankly folks, as everyone knows or ought to know, it's easy to find minerals but very hard to find a mine. Players think deals like NOT are succeess stories but I think the only major success they've had is in the stock market. If I'd known how good they were at it I would have made a lot more.
On the other hand, ENG here is a very transparent gamble, pure and simple with no attempt at subterfuge. If you think the oil is there, you buy it and hold it. If you think others will look at the numbers and think the stock is undervalued based on the potential, you buy it and trade it, and maybe hold a few through drill results just in case your ten-to-one shot comes in. If you don't like the deal you walk away. The ENG story is now so compelling I think walking away would be a mistake, though...good luck
