From what I have been told the problem with the assay companies goes back a ways. The exploration market was not doing well for a protracted time frameand people in and around the industry including in the assay world moved on. Then the boon came and there just were not enough experts available to man the labs. There are 'new kids' getting out of school but those of them that will work in the labs are not experts and the on the job training takes time. That possibly accounts for those hiring positions not being filled at chemex.
If I did not receive the correct scoop regarding the above, I'll standby for correction. It sounded like a reasonable explaination.
