Would someone please explain...Let's say Au in the ground is worth $100/oz, given $800/oz market. Then what's a reasonable way to predict value in the ground per each $100 increase in spot value? Clearly, there is correlation between gold price and the cost of extraction (inflation = higher expenses), but shouldn't each incremental hike in the spot price equal at least a 50% hike in the value of product in the ground?
