RE: Somone Please Explain the Math

RE: Somone Please Explain the MathI thought DD2005's question on explain the math was reasonable and I thought glorieux's answer also reasonable. However, Westernkid your response contains a serious error and explanation on the term "market cap" You state "The bright bean counters have come up with a term market cap. It is used for their convenience and purposed. They can use it positively when they want to and negatively when it suits their needs" This statement is nonsense. Market cap is the value obtained when you multiply the shares outstanding with the price per share. So when the price per share changes, the market cap will change accordingly. No one is able to "manipulate" the market cap.
