The shorters can keep pushing it down. They put in Stop Losses (Buy To Cover On Stop) at strategic points so they don't lose anything. These will hold their places but will all fire automatically once a fund or large investor sees the need to start buying. That's when you see the ridiculously huge buying frenzy - just the computers filling orders that were put in during the shorting process. It's an exciting day. That's when you should be selling your trading position.
But the core holdings will bring in a nice little profit in time. In the meantime, a lot of money is being made on a daily basis with this one.
