Perhaps they would be testing for what "degree of dryness" they have achieved...  kind of like in pampers diapers when they do the dryness test with that blue liquid...

I had to laugh at your comment.  Exactly,  "we know there's no oil in that hole,  but we still want to know what the heck it was that made us think we spend $78+ Million dollars drilling it.  We just want closure..."  LOL
