RE: yoyoyoyo

RE: yoyoyoyo
In my opinion, the "rigging" by authorities to suppress PM prices goes far deeper and is far more sinister than simply keeping PM prices down.    Federal authorities turn a blind eye to financial firms who aggressively target retail investors for the purpose of stealing their funds.  I have no doubt that select financial firms collectively share  retail customer position and order book data and know exactly when to hit to maximize retail investor losses and fill their coffers with dollars.  This pool of funds is huge and is tapped on a regular basis.  Financial firms, in return, help the government coordinate monetary policy, assure "stable" markets, and essentially place markets where they need to be.  Needless to say, the PM investing community are the number one target - bar none.

The system is broke.  The fundamental problem is that the market regulatory agencies (SEC, CFTC) report to the Dept. of Justice which is an Executive Branch agency.  Throw the Federal Reserve in the mix, which advances private banking interests, and it is no surprise why the markets are as treacherous as they are.  The system is plain corrupt.  Market regulatory agencies need to be made part of the Judicial Branch of government.  I am sure this will eventually occur but not for the foreseeable future.  It won't occur until there is literally an uprising of citizens against the corrupt system.  Given the typical apathy of Americans, I wouldn't hold your breath for things to change anytime soon.  The best you can do is understand what is going on, try to track their tracks, and trade with them.  This isn't easy since you often need to place your bets in a direction opposite what a rational person would do.

How long can this go on?  Probably for a very long time ...  The recent purge of the PM investing community has been more sustained than past campaigns - it seems.  850 gold may very well be the bottom of this cycle but there really is no way of telling.  There is quite a bit of blood in the streets from this latest move.  Mining companies are getting pinched from both sides.  Fundamentals based on supply/demand strongly suggest that prices need to go much higher - yet the reality is that prices get smacked down whenever it seems like we are on the verge of a break-out.  History suggests this cycle will repeat for the foreseeable future.  How can you fight an enemy that has complete access to information, strategically colludes with each other, and can essentially create funds to trade out of thin air?
