"Oil & Gas conference this afternoonHave been watching this blog for the past 6 months and this is my first posting.
Just returned from the Western Nfld. Oil and Gas Symposium - Steve Millan did not speak - George Langdon spoke and explained that as a private company he could state things that Steve, as CEO of a publicly listed company, could not.
Dr. Langdon stated that he received some results of the log on 2K-39Z on Friday and they were 'fantastic results'! In brief, he said there was a very significant gas find at over 1% throughout most of the Green Point Shales. There were oil 'stains' logged in several locations. He reinterated the 1 - 2 billion barrel estimate and explained they might be into production on the next drill.
They feel the Green Point Shales are fractured as evident in early shallow wells (10 - 20 bopd) and will respond well to horizontal drilling and fraccing techniques with the 51 degree oil that seems to be present.
Dr. Langdon was very enthusiastic
Shoal Point Energy will be attempting to become a listed company in the near future. "

Hopefully this is true.  It could mean good things for CQV
