RE: RE: Read the NR carefully, Kitman“The Company estimates that it may be able to obtain aprospecting permit and conduct a drill program……”
I don’t find the above statement vague, speculative orunusual at all.
Applying for a permit from a governing authority is verydifferent than obtaining a commitment from a business party. The authorityaccepts an application but will never give out any assurance in regard to theissuance of a permit, let alone a definite date for it. However, it’s reasonablefor the company to ask the authorizing agent for an estimate of the usualduration of the due process or obtain an opinion from an industry insider.
So March 2009 is not a sure date, just an estimate fromwhatever source it may have based on. We can nonetheless assess the situationwith some common sense. WV is coal country and mining it has been a way of lifethere, unlike the Sask government caught so unprepared to handle the recentcoal rush; a major is mining just several miles away on the same trend and NAGis probably targeting to drill on near surface seams. All things seem to favourtimely permitting to start drilling.
